Here are more pictures of Spain, second day of the trip. This city Toledo was my favorite and it was hard picking just a few pictures.
This was in front of our hotel. El Greco hotel. This hotel was one of the most expensive things on the trip. It was REALLY nice.
The view from our room.

Toledo :) This was across the street from our hotel.
The sign for our awesome hotel.
Just some awesome buildings in Toledo!

Here is the cathedral. It was amazing.

This was a cool statue and I have no idea who it is.
These are the Jewish quarters of Toledo. Toledo was a city where Catholics, Jews, and Muslims lived together peacefully. In the Jewish quarters, you could touch both sides of the street, your fingers touched the two buildings. It was cool :)
Another picture of the Jewish quarters.
The author of Don Quixote, Miguel de Cervantes, was from Spain. Here is a picture of my friend kissing his statue  :)
On the ground in the Plaza of Toledo was this map. Toledo was a mile wide any direction. It was very small and surrounded by a river.
The cathedral up close.
This is the organ. Instead of being vertical like ours, they are horizontal and stick straight out. I heard someone play it, practicing for Holy Week.
 The details were awesome.
This is the main altar, it was really pretty.
This was the ceiling. One of the turtles painted this :) I think Raphael painted it.
 The details were amazing.
The cathedral was really dark, the only light was from the high stained glass windows. It looks a lot brighter in the pictures because my camera was awesome, but it was pretty dark. In the back of the cathedral was a glowing red and gold room. We went in and there was ONE light, but everything in the room was pure gold and reflected the little light that was in there. This pictures is a base of a 3 foot statue.
This is the top of the statue.
This was the main altar in another cathedral. We were going to visit a Mosque, but they were having a wedding in there.
 This was the Synagogue.
Another statue that my friend kissed :)
This is a Marzipan replica of a important building. I have no idea what it is.
 The cathedral from outside.
This is the entire city of Toledo, my favorite city of my ENTIRE trip.
I hope you like this. It was hard picking these pictures and explaining them, but I hope it was okay. SMILE :)

  1. Miguel de Cervantes doesn't look like he wants a kiss from some gross teen-age american girl. It's because they have cooties.

    One of the turtles........:)
